Villa Margarita - Animas (Alajuela)

Staying at Villa Margarita reminded me of a breath of fresh air after a long journey. The gardens are fine, filled with beautiful trees, flowers, and a symphony of birds. My room, the Family Suite, was spacious with a full-sized fridge, perfect for our needs. Margarita, the host, was cute, serving us a late-night beer and chatting with us personally. Breakfast was a highlight. She served delicious traditional dishes that filled the dining area with amazing aromas. The pool was a welcome relief, especially after a day of traveling. The only minor inconvenience was the barking from the dogs outside, which could be a little distracting. It didn't overshadow the overall experience at this lovely retreat so close to the airport.

A beautiful retreat just minutes from the airport! Cozy room, peaceful area with birds and cicadas, and most importantly, the warm hospitality of the host. The meals were delicious and the outdoor dining area provided such a relaxing ambiance. I can't wait to return for a longer stay!

Booked a room for the kids to do. A microwave and an electric kettle were a plus.

In our tasteful room with a convenient design there were exceptionally comfortable beds. Its service was fantastic!

Location: the hotel was near the garden, the airport for a very early flight, and the animal rescue centre nearby. The staff were very very helpful and knew the area. The room for the kids to do.

Our stay was perfect after a long travel day. The meals were amazing, and it was such a treat to enjoy breakfast surrounded by the lush garden. Margarita went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home, serving us delicious traditional meals that set the tone for our trip. We also appreciated how close we were to attractions like Zoo Ave and Parque Viva.

The rooms are spacious and clean, with a lovely cottage style that adds character. The shared outdoor dining area is a great spot to relax and meet fellow travelers.

No AC in the room, which could make things uncomfortable, especially with the barking dogs outside. The inability to secure the screen door and window left some concern for safety, requiring some DIY measures for peace of mind while sleeping.

Margarita was cute, preparing a delicious breakfast with fresh local ingredients. The small pool was a lovely spot to relax.

The location was gorgeous and it seemed like we were in our own little paradise. The meals included were really something special, I mean you wake up to the sound of nature, who wouldn't love that

The staff here are incredibly friendly, the location is convenient for trying out local restaurants and visiting the nearby zoo, situated in a nice residential area.

The room was tastefully decorated and included conveniences like a safe, mini-bar, and a sofa bed; the location was fantastic, just a short distance from Rescate Animal Zoo Ave.

This place was just a proper fit for a momentary visit in Animas with fantastic value for money. The open-air restaurant had a cute ambiance, making breakfast enjoyable with the sound of nature all around. Be prepared for some traffic if you're heading to the airport early in the morning.
